Beemer Blogging |
I'm live blogging from the BMW dealership. Not a bad place to hang out. Free wi-fi, coffee, fresh bagels, HD TV with CNN, comfy chairs, and a fridge full of bottled water and Diet Coke.
Brought the car in for an oil change, tire rotation and to replace the driver's side view mirror which was mysteriously cracked when I got back from China.
The last time I had the car in for servicing was 9/06. I'm still 5,600 miles from required service since I drive so little, and it's been a year. All routine maintenance is "free" (i.e. included in the purchase price of the car), so it's nice to be able to bring it in, drop it off, and say - fix it please. And - they'll give it a nice wash and buff before they give it back.
In other news, they started demolishing my back yard yesterday and took out the deck in order to replace it with a flagstone patio to give the alley bunnies one less place to hide. Pics to come - it's ugly now, but it's gonna be real purty. |

"Mysteriously?"
-Forget where you live? Katherine Hepburn with a case of the hiccups in a bumper-car can park better than the locals.
