And we're back!
Hey kids - we're back! I left China at 4:00 PM on Saturday, and arrived in Chicago at 4:15 PM - on the same Saturday. 12 hours are mysteriously missing somewhere over the North Pole. I got home and off to bed around midnight Baltimore time, but only slept till about 6:00 this morning. I'll pay for that later today.
China exceeded all my expectations - its plumbing met none.
Seriously - a wonderful trip. I saw so many amazing things and got to experience some amazing places, foods and people. A huge country that I could never thoroughly explore, but I got a tasty treat of just a few of its highlights. Western China is a vast, beautiful, desolate, and decidedly Central Asian landscape in terms of its people, culture and geography. I've got enough post material to last till Christmas. I took over 900 photos. Of those, there are only about a dozen I am really proud of, another 2 dozen are good, and the rest are just my feeble attempt to capture some memories of an amazing journey.
Welcome back! Glad that you had such a wonderful trip. Looking forward to hearing your stories and seeing the pictures, hopefully some in person at the upcoming happy hour.
Yay! Welcome back! Looking forward to hearing your stories. :)
