Women in Art
Can't get to a museum this weekend? Never fear - view 500 years of women in Western Art. The Cliff Notes version of culture in three minutes. This is great. It's fascinating to see how the notion of beauty has shifted over the ages, and yet they are all so timeless.
I dunno, I was pretty happy when Cubism gave way to Art Nouveau...
Cool. Who did that? Do they have any other videos? If I were king of the world, I would make everyone watch that. Although I can't help but notice that they were pretty much all white women that looked like some variation of Kate Winslet/Gillian Anderson/insert celebrity with slightly nonstandard but mostly standard Western Ideal of Beauty features...
