Bringing home the bacon
This is an AP photo. It has not been altered in any way.

Bigger than the legendary Hogzilla. Can you IMAGINE seeing this thing in the woods? And more than that, how does something this enormous go relatively undetected in the wild?

An 11 year old made the kill in Alabama, hunting with his Dad. He shot the monster with a 50 caliber revolver and chased it for three hours before making the kill shot.

At 1,051 pounds, and 9 ft. 4 in., it's a record breaker.
Mike Stone is having sausage made from the rest of the animal. "We'll probably get 500 to 700 pounds," he said.

a 50 caliber revolver? that's pretty freakin close to a rambo holding a 50 cal machine gun with one hand. it's so absurd that if it's real it's mindblowing.

J$: I hear ya. I'm almost willing to buy the size of the hog given the evidence, but an 11 yr. old wielding a .50 caliber revolver to hunt big game?? I mean, WTF??

That's such a sexy revolver, but really has no practical application except for hunting -- fire that in my apartment, for example, and the bullet'll go through my apartment, the hall, my neighbor's apartment, their wall, the apartment next to them, that neighbor's hall, their neighbors across the hall, out of the building, across the road, into the next building, and so on and so forth until the bullet finally thinks "Hey! I hit something? Maybe?"
