Not Amused
To whoever sent my name to the White House, or however else I managed to be identified in order to receive the official White House Christmas card from George and Laura addressed to me personally at work today?

Not funny. Not. Funny. At. All.

Blame Yourself, Linda! I bet they got your name when you went to that function at the White House for your friend! :)

I'm going to speculate that it's a lot funnier from this perspective.

my first thought was what Snay said. Didn't you just go to the White House, and have to get some fancy-shmancy clearance, etc? That would definitely get you on the holiday-card list ;)

When I worked there, drones like me were allowed three people on the list (not including themselves), and my parents got cards from Clinton for his entire tenure.

Seems a little desperate, putting random guests on the Christmas list... but if you don't know anyone that works there or at one of the umbrella agencies, that's got to be it.

...I guess the real clincher would be, did you give them your work address in order to go to that event? Totally your fault, if so.

You guys are probably right. It's probably because of the White House event I attended. Still, it's like getting spam after going to a rally or something. So much for privacy. Wonder who else they sold my name to?
