This is a PSA for Maryland bloggers. Please go to Equality Maryland, and take a stand against the "Marriage Protection Act". Everyone, regardless of race, sex, creed, nationality, religion or sexual preference, should have the right to love whomever they choose, and be afforded all of the legal protections and rights that accompany the legal union of two individuals. All men are created equal - right?
I think it would be great if Maryland would legalize gay marriage with no string attached. Marriage is a legal contract not a religious contract. Any two people should be able to partake.
Just imagine the wedding business this state could attract.
I honestly don't think I could afford all the "bachelor" parties, showers, wedding gifts or bridesmaid outfits I'd have to purchase en masse! Although, I'm sure that the bridesmaid outfits would, for once, at least be attractive and re-usable. Gay men have such practical, good taste.
