I don't know what Les Moonves is smoking lately, but at least Nick Denton thinks this is a bad idea too, and when Gawker thinks it's a bad idea, you can be pretty sure it is.
I dunno jwer. I love Jon Stewart as much as the next person, but I don't think he can shed his comedian persona long enough or credibly enough to gain legitimacy, and CBS is in enough trouble for partisanship as it is.
You know, while I'm sure he could handle it, it'd be such a total waste of his talent.
