I'm being generous calling the UK Guardian "mainstream media", and I'm sure they're trying to act in good faith, but the fact is, they report on this:
The arthritis drug Reminyl is being investigated by regulators in the wake of a recent trial that showed that patients taking the drug suffered three times the death rate.
Reminyl is an Alzheimer's medication - NOT an arthritis med. Come on guys - even the name SOUNDS like an Alzheimer's med - "Reminyl" - remember?
No you're not! The Guardian is a national daily newspaper with a long and distiguished left/liberal history. It certainly is mainstream. It does, however, have an equally long and distinguished history of slack proof reading, hence its British nickname - The Grauniad.
Sorry duckie. Yeah - I know it's mainstream, it just reads like a tabloid most times. Maybe because they never write above a 6 level education. The lefty bit is pretty obvious. There are still a plenty of people (on both sides!) over here blaming them for the Bush win in Ohio when they had their little letter writing campaign which backfired so spectacularly during the elections.
Oi! Linda!!The Guardian happens to be my daily newspaper!!!
C
As an olive branch I will gladly concede that the letter campaign was so arrogant and stupid that I would not be surprised if Karl Rove sold the idea to them in the first place.
Oops sorry.... I think the Guardian's sibling may be the "New York Post" - which has widespread readership and which I'll admit to reading online pretty frequently just for the drama, gossip, and headlines.
Are we talking about the same paper? The Guardian - left wing broadsheet paper. Been aroiund for 150 years beloved house magazine of the left wing intelligentsia, formerly mouthpiece of the Fabian Society etc etc etc. Maybe I am wrong about the Post but if you go to The Guardian for the drama nd the gossip you are going to be bitterly disappointed.
jwer certainly picked goos weather to have his windows installed, did not he?
